2024 Product Release Preview

We’re obsessed with figuring out the best ways to support our partners. As we head into a hectic, vitally important 2024 election year, we’ll release tools and products to make it easier than ever to leverage your data to run smart, effective program.

So before the year closes, here’s a preview of our 2024 product roadmap:

PAD 2.0!
PAD 2.0 will include major updates to our PAD UI that focus on giving more power to non-technical users, including:

  • Matching Interface: Run matching workflows without needing to touch code.
  • Embedded Workflow Templates: Push data from within the PAD UI into external destinations like VAN and Action Builder with the help of an easy-to-use wizard.

Syncs on Syncs
Not every organization needs a full data warehouse, but everyone needs reliable infrastructure to get data from Point A to Point B. We’re expanding our sync catalog to include even more syncs and are continuing to expand the ways in which you can leverage your syncs. Stay tuned for more in 2024!

Ensuring Uptime
We know 2024 is an extremely important time for our partners and we want to make sure that the platform remains stable at this critical time. We’ll be focusing on scale and availability measures — keeping data pipelines monitored and fine tuning ingestion to bring in mission critical data as soon as it’s available.

Notes from BenDesk*

*Ben is our resident ZenDesk captain and manager of all help@ inquiries. We’re bringing you interesting inquiries from his inbox each month to help share learnings across our community.

Question of the Month: Is there a way for me to automate and schedule my queries in PAD?

Bendesk Answer: Yes, there is! Using the scheduled queries feature in PAD, you can streamline your workflows, ensuring your work is executed regularly without manual intervention.

The process of creating a scheduled query is simple. First, you’ll need to compose the query you want to schedule. After writing the query, click the “Schedule” button (next to “Share”) to configure the scheduling options, including frequency, destination table, and email notifications. Once the scheduling options are set, you can save and activate the scheduled query. It will then execute automatically according to the specified frequency.

We recommend periodically reviewing your scheduled queries to maintain optimal performance and cost-effectiveness. This ensures all queries run as intended and do not incur unnecessary computing costs.

For more information on scheduled queries and best practices for using them, take a look at our help article here.

*New* Clarity Campaign Labs — Model Samples

We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with Clarity Campaign Labs to offer PAD users data samples of their extensive national model suite. This collection gives users the opportunity to explore Clarity’s data models and build sample queries or reporting. These samples can also serve as a valuable training resource to teach your team how to work with models and scores.

Each score contains a 10% random sample of Clarity’s national models and comes with supporting documentation. To make these models easy to use, the scores are keyed on TargetSmart’s VoterBase ID to help identify the person corresponding to each one. The list of currently available samples includes:

  • 2022 General Election Turnout
  • 2024 General Election Turnout
  • Biden Approval
  • Choice
  • Climate Change Priority
  • College
  • Gun Owner
  • Likely Retiree
  • Low TV Usage
  • Partisanship
  • Religious Services Attendance

To learn more about the Clarity Model Samples and how to access them, check out our help article here. And if you have other data samples you’d like to see (or if you’re a vendor who would like to offer something to CTA partners), email us at info@techallies.org!
